Because you are so nice- GIVEAWAY TIME!!!!

Yes yes, a GIVEAWAY.  I want to do something to thank all of you followers who have been so nice and encouraging to me and my little family since the start of my blog.  And well, because it's CHRISTMAS!!

I love being able to blog.  I love writing about my life, my family, my likes and dislikes, and I love reading all about you as well.  (It is an enormous stress reliever.)  This giveaway will satisfy the crafty, DIY side of me.  I hope you are excited about it.  I know I am.  I love getting free stuff, but I also love giving to others as well.

Rules to enter:
*You must be or become a follower of my little blog, after all you readers are the reason I want to do this.

1. Leave me a comment answering this question, "What is one thing you are doing to help someone else this Christmas?"  (1 entry)

2. Want to earn extra entries? You can share the giveaway with a friend or two.  You can either blog about it, tweet about, or facebook about it...and that will give you one extra entry for each one you do.  Just make sure you leave a separate comment for each one you do.

The winner will be drawn randomly on Sunday, December 19.  I will announce it on the blog and email the winner (so be sure to leave an email or allow your email to be seen in your profile).  Once chosen they will have 48hrs to respond or I will choose another winner.

Does that sound good?  Hope so...I'm so nervous now.  I feel like that kid on the Disney commercial, "I'm too excited to sleep!"  Am I the only one who knows what I am talking about?? Please tell me you know what I am talking about.

Okay are you ready to know what I am giving away?

A $20 Gift Card to Home Depot.  I know it's not a lot, but maybe you can put it towards something you've had your eye on, or maybe you can purchase a few cans or my favorite spray paint from Rust-oleum...

Thanks again for being amazingly sweet people.

As usual we are doing the angel tree. One child for each child to adopt. and we are looking for a lonely / needy person / family to invite on Christmas day. We have been so blessed. My husband has a job when so many people have lost theirs.

This year, I will be donating a CD player to a patient in a nursing home that I sit with often.

I am a teacher, and have told my students that I will stay after school with them every day they are interested in staying to get ready for finals. unfortunately, we've been hit by an ice storm, so our schedule is way off kilter...

We let our little girls pick out Christmas gifts for some children whose dad lost his job. Then we're going to leave them on their doorstep and run.

I am collecting money/ pledges for the homeless for the Salvation Army in my area this Christmas via my blog. I plan on spending a day with the homeless once I reach my benchmark of $100 and I will be doing a blog post about it. I however will be extending this collection until after the holidays being I need to find a better way to get my collection promoted. If it takes me another month that is fine. I want to make this a yearly thing and increase my collection every year.
