Simple Mod Podged Art and Another Framed Chalkboard Art

I really meant to post these awhile ago. I took pictures and was going to upload them to my computer, but my Compact Flash Drive crashed and burned.  A little boy who shall not be named (hint: LEVI), was the culprit for destroying the memory card I have had for the past 6 years.  Oh well...I bought a new one from Office Max a few days later and just now remembered I wanted to post about these pieces I made.

For the past two years the wall space in our bathroom has been completely bare.  Yes there are two mirrors above the sinks on our vanity but that's it.  No pictures, just a blank, completely boring wall the rest of the way down.  So I decided to make a few pieces of art to go there.

I basically took old art that had been my mom's when she was little, painted around the edges with some acrylic paint, and then mod podged scrap book paper over the top of them.

I love them.  They're simple, yet they give our bathroom a cute feminine touch without over doing it.
And the middle piece is my chalkboard.  I took a simple framed picture from my little sister's old nursery decor that my mom was throwing out, painted over the glass with chalkboard paint, and painted right over the frame with Rust-oleum's Heirloom White.  I then wrote love using one of my chalk pens.

I love art that you can easily create yourself don't you?
