GIVEAWAY WEEK (and Friday Finds)- Featuring joom

Thank goodness it’s Friday right? We’ve had a busy week, full of fun.  I am so happy about this 5th giveaway, and it’s a Friday Finds.  :)

Today I get to feature a shop I found on etsy, called joom. 

 Joom has such an awesome collection in her shop. You can find pillows, cards, tote bags, prints and wall art.  A few of my favorite things are





I asked Joom a few questions so you all could get to know her a bit better and see why her shop is so great.

Joom started her Etsy shop in May 2006.  She got a lot of support from her husband, her dad and friends. She said they gave her a lot of ideas on how to reach her goals.  Joom was inspired by designer Lotta Jansdotter. She said, “I like her style, clean and simple designs. Her work inspired me to start my own line.”  Joom loves working with all kinds of fabrics and continually finds inspiration in nature, music, art, and architecture. She gets inspiration from the world around her,  and  loves to go shopping and do gardening, both of which help her create new items for her shop.  I asked Joom what has been the hardest part about being a handmade shop owner, and she answered honestly, “Improving my design to stay relevant and also staying true to myself.”
(I love when an artist or designer feels good about being themselves and what they have to offer.)
