Magnetic Message Board- using a silver tray

I drew some inspiration from some left over projects, and thrifty finds to create this magnetic message board. Since it’s my favorite time of the year I of course needed to create a Christmas inspired message for you all.
I used the left over glittery chipboard letters I had from when I created my Book Page Banner, some small magnets I had in my craft stash, a rusty silver tray I found at a thrift store for $2, and some twine/burlap type of ribbon to hang my message board.
You just have to  use hot glue to attach the magnets to the back of the letters and create any message you want! So simple.
I loved the silver tray when I bought it, especially the rust and vintage look it had to it. I just never really knew what I wanted to do with it until now.  There’s just something about glitter and rust being thrown together…it gives me a happy feeling inside.
And if you don’t have a silver tray around, don’t worry, you can still make the pretty magnetic letters, and put them on your fridge. Every kitchen needs some Christmas cheer.
Once I put the red letters on my fridge that is where they had to stay, because the turquoise and red glitter looked too dang good together.
No worries though, a quick stop at Michaels and $4 later, I had created a new message for my lovely tray.
See? Glitter and rust. Just too pretty.
So what are you waiting for? Go to a local thrift store, grab a silver tray (or two!), then head to Michael’s with your 40% off coupons and pick up your letters and magnets. And go home and get you craft on!

There are a lot of these type crafts going around...the deal is... I have a huge pile of chip board (no glitter) in my closet.
