How to make an Italian Cream Soda, Cherry Vanilla Flavor

Many years ago while I was working as a barrista and slinging drinks, I had this awesome friend, Nick, who showed me how to make Italian Cream Sodas.  Or at least that’s what he said they were. We didn’t sell these, it was just something that he had made on his own and showed me how to make too. The only fruity flavor we carried at the time was Raspberry, so he made a Raspberry Italian Cream Soda for me. 

I decided a few weeks ago to make my own version of the Italian Cream Soda, and go for a Cherry Vanilla flavor. These are perfect for summer nights with friends… or would be great to have at a wedding or baby shower. Guests could make their own, using lots of different flavored syrups.

You’ll need Heavy Whipping Cream, San Pellegrino, Cherry and Vanilla flavored syrup (or whatever flavor you prefer), and ice.

You can pour in the San Pellegrino over your ice, then add some heavy whipping cream, and last add your syrups.  I used 4 pumps of Cherry and 2-3 pumps of Vanilla. You can add more or less if you need to.

I've never had one of these - looks so delish and easy to make! The mason jar is that extra special touch :)
