I started this blog in September 2010, just a couple of months after my daughter Rian was born. I had previously blogged about our family before, but gave it up when life took over and made me feel incredibly busy. I missed blogging though. I missed being able to write about my day, and have some kind of creative outlet. I needed something that helped me be more than just a mommy and wife. I kind of dove back into blogging through becoming crafty. I didn't and don't mean for this to be primarily a "craft" blog, because in no way could I possibly keep it up if it were. I just don't have that kind of creativity in me. (I am amazed at the women who have that kind of insane talent though, to keep coming up with new projects each week.) This is simply where I am at in my life right now- learning new things, trying to make our little house a home, and allowing myself some creative me time and trying to not feel bad about it. So on this blog you will find crafts, tutorials, DIY projects, but you'll also find stories and pictures about my family (husband and kids), reviews of things I like, recipes I have tried or want to try, and just ramblings from a sometimes crazy and sleep deprived momma.
Me:
My Husband, Justin:
Seriously, he is the BEST husband. I am blessed to know such a kind and wonderful man. He is so patient with me, so low key compared to my crazy OCD behavior, and a great dad to our two kids. He supports me 110% and is always there if I need anything. He probably thinks my obsession with Craigslist is more than a little nuts but he never tells me that. Okay, almost never. He is one of the hardest working men I know and has always found a way to provide for our family so I could stay home with our kids. I love him to the moon and back.
Our Son, Levi:
Our Daughter, Rian:
She is a perfect and incredibly happy baby. It was amazing to see her beautiful face after delivering her via c-section. She was a big girl, 9lbs. 8oz. (almost twice her brothers size when he was born), and she continues to grow at a rapid pace. She is so independent and stubborn sometimes, yet loves to cuddle and tell me and her daddy "I love you" all day long. She makes me want to be a great mom, a mom that she can come to and talk to about anything, a mom that she wants to actually be around and looks forward to spending time with. I'm hoping her and her brother will be great friends and I can't wait to take her do girly things.
